Help & FAQ

Quick answers to the things people ask most. Can't find what you need? Email support@aridel.ai.

Getting started

  1. Open app.aridel.ai.
  2. Sign up with your email (or "Continue with Google"). Confirm your email if prompted.
  3. Type a prompt in the chat box. Aridel picks the best model and streams the answer.
  4. Check the small badge on each answer to see which model was chosen.

About routing

What does Aridel actually do?

Aridel embeds your prompt with a lightweight classifier, then scores every supported model on expected quality and cost for that kind of task. The top-scoring model gets the prompt.

The goal is simple: cheap models for easy questions, top-tier models for things that actually need them. You save money on the long tail without having to think about it.

Which models are supported?

40+ models across OpenAI (GPT-5.x families), Anthropic (Claude Opus, Sonnet, Haiku), Google (Gemini families), and the strongest open-source lines — DeepSeek, Moonshot Kimi, Alibaba Qwen, MiniMax, GLM, and Amazon Nova. The live catalog is always GET /v1/models. Open-source models are served through partner inference providers chosen by Aridel — including providers operating under Chinese jurisdiction — see the Security page for where your data is processed. The list grows whenever a strong new model lands.

Can I force a specific model instead of letting Aridel pick?

Yes, with your own provider keys (BYOK) you can pin any model from the model selector — automatic routing is bypassed for that conversation. On the credit wallet routing is always automatic: that's how we keep credit spend predictable.

How do I see which model answered me?

Each assistant message has a small expander showing the chosen model, the routing score, and the latency. For aggregated stats across your conversations, open the Insights dashboard from the sidebar.

Billing & plans

How is usage billed?

Aridel uses a pay-as-you-go credit wallet, and new accounts start with free credits so you can try Aridel without a card. Top up between $1 and $100 at a time; each call deducts the model's API cost plus a small platform fee — waived entirely when you bring your own provider key. Wallet-funded calls always use automatic routing. You can see your balance in Settings. There is no subscription: you only ever pay for what you use.

Can I use my own API keys (BYOK)?

Yes. Add provider keys under Settings → API Keys. When a key is present, we route through it instead of metering you against the shared wallet — you pay your provider directly, with no Aridel markup. Keys are encrypted with AWS KMS before storage and never exposed back to the browser. API users can also pass keys per-request without storing them at all.

How do I get a receipt for a credit purchase?

Stripe emails a receipt for every top-up at purchase time. If you need another copy or an invoice, email support@aridel.ai with the purchase date and amount.

Account

I forgot my password.

Click "Forgot password" on the login screen and enter the email you signed up with. We'll send a confirmation code; once entered, you can set a new password. If you signed in with Google, reset your password from your Google account instead.

How do I delete a conversation?

Hover the conversation in the sidebar, click the menu icon, and choose Delete. The conversation is removed from your history.

How do I delete my whole account?

Email support@aridel.ai from the address tied to the account and ask for full deletion. We confirm within 7 business days and remove conversation history, uploaded files, and billing identifiers.

Troubleshooting

The chat stopped streaming mid-answer.

Refresh the page and resend the last prompt. Streaming runs over a WebSocket; flaky networks or sleeping laptops sometimes break the connection. If it happens repeatedly, please email support with the conversation timestamp.

An answer looks wrong / hallucinated.

Expand the routing badge under the answer to see which model responded, then pin a stronger model from the model selector and retry. If the routing decision itself looks clearly wrong, email support@aridel.ai with the conversation timestamp — we review reports to improve the classifier.

I'm seeing "Google sign-in failed".

Usually a stale cookie. Open an Incognito window and try again. If it persists, sign up with email/password instead and email support so we can investigate.

Still stuck?

Email support@aridel.ai. Include your account email, the time the issue happened, and (if relevant) which model you were trying to use. We typically reply within one business day.
